As I was waiting for a call to say that Dad was home, I was reminded of Isaiah 51:11-- "Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away." God has certainly rescued Dad, and we rejoice with singing and gladness in all that He has done!

At 2:05 that afternoon I got a call from Dad himself—he was home! It was Friday, June 19, and he had spent 81 days in the hospital or rehab, but now, all of that was behind us!

That afternoon, I was thinking about how comforting it is to know that Dad is safe at home with Mom. And then the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and reminded me, "Christy, he was always safe, because he was always in My hand." What a blessing and encouragement to remember—His children are always in His hands.
